When is the T20 World Cup?
The 2022 T20 World Cup takes place from Sunday 16th October to Sunday 13th November. You can bet on Outright pre-tournament markets such as Tournament Top Bowler, Tournament Top Batsman or Outright Winner of the tournament before the World Cup starts.
T20 World Cup Fixtures
The 2022 T20 World Cup fixtures are spread across three main phases: the first-round; the Super 12 and the knockout rounds.
The first-round fixtures take place from the 16th of October to the 21st of October. The first round field consists of the top eight teams ranked outside the best eight teams in the world (who automatically qualify for the Super 12 stage). The first-round teams are split into two groups of four, in which each team plays the others once each. The two teams who finish top of their groups progress to the Super 12 stage. First Round teams are as follows:
Group A: Namibia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates
Group B: Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, Zimbabwe
The Super 12 teams are split into two groups of six:
Group 1: Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, and a team qualified from the first-round
Group 2: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and a team qualified from the first-round
The winner of Group 1 then plays the runner-up from Group 2 in a semi-final. The winner from Group 2 plays the runner-up from Group 1 in the other semi-final. The winner of each semi-final progresses to the final.
Top Batsman and Bowler Odds?
Two of the most popular World Cup T20 betting markets are Top Batsman and Top Bowler. Top Batsman refers to the player with the highest total run score at the end of the tournament. Top bowler refers to the player with the highest number of wickets taken at the end of the tournament.
